The original current sensor of U-RD (CTL series) are the CT (Current Transformer) which pursue the minimizing and high reliability for the measurement and control. The big difference from the conventional CT for measurement is the output of mA with high current ratio of 400:1~2000:1. It can construct the high safe system, because it can get the current information which can interface directly to the electrical circuit with only insertion of the measured wire into the aperture of the center of the sensor.

The principle (Current Transformer type)

It is the current transformer which becomes the current ratio of n:1 between the secondary coil turned n times around the ring core, and penetrated wire. The current output can be converted to the voltage signal with flowing the current into the load resistor.

Structure (CTL-6-S-H)

It is robust structure with potting by epoxy, to the CT (Current Transformer) including the ring core wound by toroidal coil, in the plastic case.
The secondary winding is connected to the terminals which are fixed to the case, and they guarantee the good isolation toward the penetrated wire.
